Does Krekorian Really Believe This Corruption Plague Stops in Downtown LA?

Please see today’s LA Times article where LA City Councilman Paul Krekorian says:

“I would be disgusted if we had to drive through downtown Los Angeles for generations and see buildings marking the city skyline that were achieved through bribery and corruption.”

Does Krekorian believe this plague of corruption stops in downtown LA? Is he engaged in a bit of deflection? He should take a stroll through Hollywood.

Remember, in the original Millennium Hollywood approvals — when the City Council ignored a mountain of data about the property’s earthquake fault dangers — two of the three votes on the City Council’s Planning Committee were from now-convicted felon and former Councilman Mitch Englander, and recently arrested Councilman Jose Huizar.

Some of the seismic studies that they and former LADBS head Raymond Chan (also a focus of the FBI) approved continue to infect the current Draft EIR for the renamed “Hollywood Center” project.

We hope the FBI puts developer Millennium Partners and LA’s Mayor and City Council at the center of probing questions.
